WHY DO I NEED A SERVICE?
Movement or vibration can cause services (gas, electrical and water), appliances and fittings to work loose creating potentially hazardous circumstances.
General wear and tear should be assessed to ensure the vehicle continues to be structurally sound to ensure a long and safe life.

We offer the services and safety inspections described below.

Owners of campervans should call us to discuss their requirements and obtain a quote for the services they may require.

These prices exclude any remediation work or additional parts, not included in the service or inspection, that may be identified during the inspection.

MILEAGE SURCHARGE
We are happy to come to you wherever you may be located. However, please note that locations that are more than approximately 30 miles from our base location (Gullane, East Lothian) may incur a mileage surcharge.
Prior to accepting any engagement, we will advise you if mileage surcharge applies and what it will be.
Please note that before any work proceeds a visual inspection of the vehicle will be performed with the customer (external and internal) to identify any marks, damage or stains that are present prior to the inspection.

Any issues or defects discovered during inspections will be noted but no remediation work will proceed until costs are provided and you have approved the additional work.

METHODS OF PAYMENT
Payment can be made by Cash, Direct Bank Transfer, Debit Card or Credit Card.
Full Caravan Inspection
£235 Single Axle
£275 Double Axle
The full annual inspection is a comprehensive inspection and service of your caravan. It includes the following and each aspect of the inspection is described in more detail in the sections below:

Habitation Inspection
£195
The Habitation Inspection covers many of the same aspects as a Full Annual Inspection. It is normally performed on Motorhomes and Campervans as many aspects of the chassis inspection are covered under a vehicles MOT. It includes the following and each aspect of the inspection is described in more detail in the sections below:

Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR)
£180
EICR is a detailed inspection of your 230v electrical systems and connections which is recommended every 3 years.
Movement or vibration can cause electrical systems and fittings to work loose creating potentially hazardous circumstances. Over time loose connections can develop, cables can wear, and devices can develop faults. All of these can result in significant electrical risk.
Chassis Inspection and Service
£95 Single Axle
£135 Double Axle
The inspection and service will include assessment of the condition and operation of the hitch head, stabilizer (including friction pads), overrun, breakaway cable, brake cables, brake lever, brake drum, brake pads, electronic stability aid (if present), wheels, wheel bearings, tyres, jockey wheel, corner steadies and visual inspection of the chassis and suspension. Parts will be cleaned and lubricated where appropriate. “One-shot” hub nuts are included in the cost of the service but other items that may need replaced due to wear and tear will incur additional cost. This will be noted, and remediation costs agreed prior to any remediation work taking place.
Gas Safety Inspection
£95
The inspection will include assessment of the condition of the gas locker, gas cylinder, regulator, pipework, hoses, and overall ventilation requirements to ensure they are in line with current regulations. In addition, a tightness test will be performed, and appliances will be assessed to ensure they are secure, operate correctly and appliance safety devices are effective. The CO and smoke alarms will be assessed along with any fire extinguishers and fire blankets.

We cannot carry out a Gas Inspection on units that are hired out.
Units that are hired out need a GAS SAFE Engineer to perform the safety inspection.
Electrical Inspection
£95
The inspection will include assessment of the condition of the battery compartment, leisure battery, battery leads, charging systems, 12v system, 230v system (including bonding & earth), RCD, hook-up cable, 12N & 12S and 13 pin cables and road lighting. In addition, appliances will be assessed to ensure they are secure and operating correctly.

Bodywork & Habitational Inspection
£95
The inspection will include assessment of the condition of the overall bodywork, trims, external lights, awning rails, doors, windows, grab rails, internal structures (seating, beds, partitions, and doors) and fittings (blinds, flyscreens, curtain rails) for security and correct operation.
Water systems will be assessed to ensure they are operating correctly, pipework and fittings are secure. The toilet will also be inspected to ensure it is operating correctly, the cassette and seals are in good order.
Call-out Fee
£60

Call out rate includes 30 minutes of labour. Beyond the initial 30 minutes the hourly rate will apply.

Hourly rate

Any additional work or remediation work that is required beyond an initial inspection or call-out will be apply at the hourly rate. Please note that any parts that are required to remediate any issue or to complete an installation will also be added to the final invoice.
