Please note that inspection reports only relate to the condition of the touring unit (caravan, motorhome, or campervan) at the time of the inspection and should not be regarded as evidence of the condition of the unit, or appliances within, at any other time.

We do not provide vehicle MOT services.
Please note that appliances are checked for operation only. Appliance servicing is not included and should be conducted by an manufacturer approved engineer.

Before any work proceeds a visual inspection of the vehicle will be performed with the customer (external and internal) to identify and marks, damage or stains that are present prior to the inspection. Any existing damage will be recorded on a Condition Inspection Report to protect the owner and service engineer.

The owner is expected to ensure access is available at the time and date agreed for the inspection, there is sufficient clearance to access the wheels and external equipment, that the interior of the vehicle is clear of obstructions to the internal equipment which needs access to service. Lockers empty and floor area clear.

Where a Chassis Inspection and Service is to be performed, for Health and Safety reasons, the owner must provide an area that is on firm, flat ground and has at least 1 metre clearance in all directions. If this is not available, then it may not be safe to conduct a service.

If on arrival the vehicle is not accessible, or unsafe to access, a call-out fee will be charged.

Please ensure all keys are available for the vehicles and any security devices, etc.

The toilet cassette MUST be EMPTY and CLEAN, or the toilet will NOT be serviced.

Where a defect is identified during a service, the owner’s permission to repair or replace will be obtained before any remedial work is completed. An additional charge for the time and parts will be made. Our hourly labour rate is £60.

All parts used will be OEM specification and are chargeable in addition to labour at the lowest available price possible.

The service engineer will ensure all wheels are torqued to the correct setting and customer will be asked to sign that this was done before engineer leaves.
THE CUSTOMER MUST RECHECK THE WHEEL TORQUE SETTIINGS AFTER 30 MILES.

On completion of works the vehicles water tanks will be drain down and all appliances will be turned off from source.

All workmanship is warranted for 6 months providing no unauthorised changes or modifications are made which affect the already completed work.

A mileage surcharge may apply if your location is more than approximately 30 miles from our base location (Gullane, East Lothian). Prior to accepting any engagement, we will advise you if mileage surcharge applies and what it will be.

Payment is due strictly on completion of the work carried out.

Payment to be made by Cash, Direct Bank Transfer, Debit Card or Credit Card

CUSTOMER COMPLAINTS - please send any complaints you may have to query@touringvehicleservices.co.uk. We aim to acknowledge receipt within 3 working days and to respond within 10 working days. In the unlikely event of a serious complaint that is not resolved, the Approved Workshop scheme operates an Informal Dispute Resolution Service (AWSIDRS), which is free to the consumer, to help resolve disputes.
